Collapse was good, if a little bit long. The account of the Viking settlements in Iceland is amazing stuff.

And re Meesh's suggestion on Power Of Myth, would have to agree. The interviews he did with Moyers were great. . .

Odd. No mention of Good to Great, One Minute Manager, In Search of Excellence, Who Shit in My Cheese? Oprah would definitely not approve. How can I take this list seriously?

OK. I'll add a couple of my personal favorites:

-A People's History of the United States - Zinn
-The Rider - Krabbe
-The Quiet American - Greene
-The General History of The Pyrates - Defoe

And could I really submit any list of this nature without including:

-The Dirt - Messrs. Lee, Neil, Mars, Sixx
